Go Ahead and Decorate!

Go Ahead and Decorate!

During the holidays, many home sellers aren’t sure if they should leave the decorations packed away or go ahead and display them. My answer is:

A tasteful, holiday-decorated house shows potential buyers that your home is loved and cared for. Enhance the potential buyer’s experience by baking some gingerbread cookies, the morning before a showing or open house. Leave some out for your guests to sample. Put on some holiday tunes to get people in the spirit of giving (an offer, if you’re lucky) Set the thermostat to a comfortable temperature – when it’s cold outside, you want to ensure that your home isn’t.

Although showings generally slow down at Christmas, homes still sell!  With seasonally lower inventory, sometimes your Christmas Spirit is all it takes to get that out-of-town buyer to write an offer.

Pro-Tip: Let your real estate agent know beforehand if there is any day that you won’t be able to have showings.

Fact - Check: Your real estate agent Loves Christmas baking as much as Santa Clause, maybe even more. This is a true fact!

If you have any questions, please feel free to give me a call anytime. Please send me some pics of your holiday décor and Christmas Tree here.

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
